At 35 years of age I am a young, talented, upbeat musician and guitar teacher with real passion for what I do. With well over twenty years playing experience and around twelve years experience at giving guitar lessons I have played in many bands around the midlands and taught students of all ages. I am a registered guitar teacher with the Register of Guitar Tutors (RGT) and am able to guide students through RGT or Rock School guitar grades. However, as an enthusiast of many musical styles and genres I also like to encourage students to broaden their musical taste through musical exploration and the application of different techniques.
With over twenty years playing experience and a background in performance I am able to help students to improve and develop every aspect of their playing both in a technical sense as well as in a creative and collaborative one. I am a firm believer that students really grow as musicians through collaborating with other musicians. As such I am always very keen to encourage my students to take opportunities to perform with other musicians and I am very proactive in creating such opportunities.
My twelve or so years teaching experience enables me to help more able students to achieve a high standard of playing and to grow as musicians. However I also love helping beginners and younger students find a real passion for their instrument and I gain great satisfaction in seeing them go on to earn a real sense of achievement through their development. Working with a company called Noise Tuition I also teach children of all ages in various schools around Leicestershire through term time. Schools currently serviced include: Sherrier C of E Primary School in Lutterworth, South Charnwood High School in Markfield, Asfordby Hill Primary School in Melton Mowbray and Thrussington Primary School.
