Welcome to Online Guitar Lessons. My name’s Gavin James and I’ve been a guitar teacher for around 8 years. I’ve actually been playing the guitar for almost 16 years. I’ve spend a lot of time putting this guitar teacher website together.

Within the site, you’ll find more information about my local guitar lessons.

If you’d like to learn a little guitar from the Internet, then on this site you’ll also find guitar chords, guitar basics, guitar theory + a lot of different guitar techniques.

The great thing with the Internet is that it enables you to learn guitar lessons online in the comfort of your own home. Whilst this is great, there is no substitute for REAL guitar lessons from an experienced teacher.

In order to progress correctly you need someone to show you when you are going wrong, teach you the right way, the correct guitar techniques, fingerings and scale patterns.

Over the many years I’ve been teaching I’ve had to correct a LOT of my students bad playing habits which came about because they were self taught.

Now don’t get me wrong… I’m not saying you HAVE to have guitar lessons, but it definitely helps to have a tutor especially when you are a beginning guitarist.
