Instruments & Topics Taught: Electric, Acoustic, Classical Guitar, Theory, Ear Training, sight reading…

Styles Taught: I teach most styles which include Rock/Pop, Metal, Blues, Jazz, Punk, Country, Classical, Legato, sweep picking, string skipping, fast picking, and lead and rhythm guitar playing. I teach a wide range of songs from beginner to advanced and try to incorporate where about’s you are at with your playing and what you’d like to learn.

Skill Levels Taught: I teach people with all abilities, from beginner, intermediate, to advanced

Education & Trainings: I have been playing the guitar for 15 years and teaching for the last 8 years. During my playing time, I attended The Rock School in Wolverhampton and the Academy of Contemporary music in Guildford.

The Rock School was for 6 months and the ACM was a full time 12 month course. Other than this… I’m self taught although I had guitar lessons myself for 10 years.

Influences: Being a guitar teacher, I listen to pretty much all musical styles as it gives me a better overview of each aspect of the guitar. My musical influences vary from Rock, metal, and Blues and my favorite players include Gary Moore, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Geoff Whitehorn, and Kirk Hammett. I also listen to pop music, dance, jazz…. so pretty much all styles again

Performance Experience: I’ve performed many times around the country with my old band Lucid Moments. I’m currently between bands at present and I’m mainly concentrating on teaching my students how to play this beautiful instrument.

Personal Statement: During your 1st lesson, I will concentrate on the weaker aspects of your playing and what styles and techniques you want to learn.

I’l ask a few questions about previous tuition, musical influences, how long you’ve been playing and what kind of time each week you can dedicate to practice.

We will then work out a study plan that suits you, and each week we will add to your playing ability with the chords, arpeggios, scales, songs, techniques, tone, vibrato, lead and rhythm and much more that you need to play the songs. I care very much for my students and your success is my success.

If you’d like to learn something specific, please let me know. I can teach you from my own syllabus or if you’d prefer to learn and play your own favorite songs instead, then we can do that.

I have many students who don’t like to sit exams and learn in a strict environment, but I also have students who do, so I like to cater for both.

My aim is to make the lessons fun, relaxed and enjoyable for both teacher and student.
