I didn’t like turning students away so I located another guitar teacher in the local area whom I could refer my overflow students to in return for a ‘finders fee’.

After doing this for a few years, one night, I suddenly hit on a great idea…

Why not replicate this model across other areas of the UK?

So I decided to use my 7 years of Internet Marketing knowledge to advertise online in the local area and then refer the students who contact us on to local guitar teachers.

We currently work with many different teachers in various towns and cities in the country.

How Does it Work?

If you’d like to be listed as a Best Pick teacher, you’ll need to complete an application form and submit your details to us. We’ll go through your application form and either accept or decline you depending on your experience and credentials.

Once you’ve been accepted, we’ll create a unique web page and profile for you on our main website in your local area.

Students looking for guitar lessons in your area will search in Google and on the Internet and will find all teachers listed in the area they live. They will then contact a number of those teachers to arrange a guitar lesson with the best suited to them.

Your profile will be listed on the page they find and as long as your details match up with what they’re looking for, they’ll contact you to arrange a lesson.

You will need to CALL the student back as quickly as possible to ensure another teacher doesn’t beat you to it.

How Does Best Pick Get Paid?

Because we’re able to refer high quality leads/prospects/students to our recommended guitar teachers in the local area, and each student is potentially worth upwards of £800 per year to the teacher. (£20 per lesson average X’s 40 lessons per year = £800), our recommended teachers pay Best Pick a one-time £20 fee for one hour students and £10 for half hour students referral or finders fee who takes up guitar lessons with them.

The teacher ONLY pays us the referral fee if their new student actually has a guitar lesson and makes payment. If a student contacts you and they decide not to take lessons, then there is ZERO payment.

It’s a win-win situation. Paid on results rather than a monthly or yearly fee like Yellow Pages etc where you can’t guarantee you’ll receive any interested students.

How Does Best Pick Monitor Teachers?

Our teachers go through a short application process which enables us to find more our about them. This also helps us match the teacher up with the students requirements. We then usually speak to each teacher on the phone to learn as much about them as possible before accepting them.

Once we’re happy with the teacher, we then add them to our books and start referring students to them.

Once we’ve referred a student to the teacher, and the student has taken lessons, we follow up with the student to make sure they were happy with the lesson and the teacher. This helps us ensure we have the best guitar teachers on our books.
