Guitar Experience
I started teaching guitar 8 years ago whilst at university. I have taught for many years, and have a great deal of experience.
Bobby Cole
I ran my own music teaching school in West London (and now Swansea – Tawe Music School), and was in charge of teaching guitar and bass guitar at a music training program in a large church in London.
I have also worked as a peripatetic music teacher at a secondary school in London, and have a great deal of experience teaching from a wide range of syllabus material.
I am also an examiner for the exams board Edexcel, and am currently marking A level music papers.
I have played guitar for approximately 15 years, and have played in a variety of bands (rock, pop, gospel, e.t.c.). I have also worked as a session musician for recording studios in London, recording guitar on many many tracks and CDs. I have been teaching guitar lessons Swansea for approx 8 years.
Guitar Teaching Style
I like to tailor my teaching around each student. I do not force them to learn particular songs that they are not interested in, and take the time to find out what sort of style they would like to learn and focus on.
I like to make my lessons enjoyable and interesting for each student, and always aim to include a variety of subjects in each lesson (songs, chords, theory, scales, techniques, e.t.c.)
I teach Rockschool up to grade 8, and RGT up to grade 8.

I am also a music composer, and have taught music composition and how to craft a song. This has been a great addition for some of my students that write songs.
I work from a recording studio in Swansea where I am able to record students. In the past I have helped my guitar students record their own parts over backing tracks. Great for teaching guitar solos, and for students that write their own material.
