The Past, Present and Future of Music [Infographic]

We’ve published a few posts recently looking into the state on the music industry. With so much change happening over the last decade it’s definitely a very interesting and fast moving topic. This great infographic from 3gm looks at the potential future of the music business, and how we are might end up listening to music in years to come.

It’s particularly interesting to look back and see how things have changed – it really doesn’t seem that long ago when I was buying music on cassettes, and then re purchasing all my favourite albums on CD. Although I love the fact that I can buy songs with one click, part of me does miss browsing record stores, buying a few albums and enjoying a physical product. That makes me feel bloody old.
